THE WIND FAMILY
Welcome to Comptoir Bakery, here we are on a mission to bring the best of French baking to London using only the finest, handpicked British and French ingredients.
Founded by Sebastien Wind, a master pastry chef who trained under the watchful eyes of Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White. Comptoir Bakery began as a humble market stall in the iconic Borough Market selling fresh pâtisserie items with a touch French flair, we have become a destination bakery to enjoy our baked goods as well as an actual bakery school, led by Sebastien, providing classes and workshops to enhance your skills.
Over the years, we have grown into a cherished part of the London Bridge community, with locations including Maltby Street, home to both our bakery and bakery school, Bermondsey the home of our small but mighty cafe and the iconic Southwark Cathedral.
Every pastry, cake, and sandwich we make is a celebration of both tradition and quality, each item handcrafted daily.

At Comptoir Bakery our mission is simple: to bring the authentic taste of French baking to the heart of London. To reflect our heritage and honour the classics we mix traditional French baking techniques with seasonal ingredients to create a bespoke offering that embraces the fun vibes and cultures of our ever-changing capital.
We share these deep-rooted traditional baking techniques through our bespoke bakery classes and workshops, each designed to teach and encourage you to experience tradition and embrace what is new to create your own version of some Comptoir Bakery favourites.
Whether you are stopping by for your morning croissant or selecting cakes for a special occasion, we strive to make every visit warm, welcoming and delicious.
